  Weekly Update December 16, 2024 12/16 We do not have a special 12/17 We have art. 12/18 Late Start  School will start at 9:25.   We have Media Center. 12/19 We have   music. 12/20 We have our holiday concert, party, and gym.                  Word Work: Our class will continue learning about the c+le word patterns this week as in table, turtle, nibble, struggle, several, and general. In class, students will notice our word practice will include a lot of words that have -ible and -able.  Students can read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list for the week.   Winter Party: We are looking forward to our winter party happening on Friday, December 20th from 12:45 - 1:45 p.m.  The party will start after lunch and last ...

This includes              the following.....  -vce words like pine r-controlled words like star, flower, bird, corn, and burn,  the /oo/ syllable pattern as in blue, moon, youth the /ou/ syllable pattern as in count and  town adding -ed and -ing endings to words the three sounds that -ed makes in words: /t/, /ed or id/, /d/ such as                     finished, acted, and yelled suffixes tion and sion as in the words celebration...
