10/2	We have Media Center and Late Start  School will start at 9:25.
10/3	We have music.
10/4	We have gym.

Laps for Lincoln:  Our Laps for Lincoln fundraiser is off to a great start.  We had an exciting assembly on Friday and packets came home in each student's folder along with a letter detailing the information.  You can also visit the PTO website for more information.  Thank you for your support. 

Remember Spirit Days are this week!

Monday:  Backwards/mismatched clothes

Tuesday: PJ’s and teddy bears

Wednesday:  Crazy wacky hair

Thursday: Students dress like teachers/ teachers dress like students

Friday: St. Joe Bear spirit colors

Parent Teacher Conference Scheduling:  

I appreciate those of you who have been able to sign up for a conference time.  If you have not been able to select a day and time yet, please click on this link and select a time that works best for you as soon as possible.

Word Work: This week your child will be learning words that are open syllables.  This includes words like; be, by, me, and cry.   The words can be found on Spelling City to practice using a variety of games.  

Math: Our second graders have begun learning about organizing and sharing data with others.  We have spent time learning about picture graphs and determining what type of questions can be answered by the data represented on a picture graph.  Students will be learning about bar graphs and tape diagrams over the next few weeks.
