Word Work: Our class will learn to read and spell words with the /us/ sound spelled -ous and -us like in asparagus and generous.


Music Performance:   This week is the week of our performance!    The students will perform on Wednesday at 10:00 at Lincoln and 5:45 at the High School.  Here is a link to the website with more information.  Please note the information on this website from Mrs. Richards concerning arrival at the High School.....”For the evening performance, please arrive at 5:35 to the auditorium doors. Students will stay with their grown up until called on stage to perform. There will be another performance finishing up, so please do not enter the auditorium until they are done.”


SJ FIELD TRIP: FRIDAY MAY 23rd  9:00 – 12:30 PM: Lincoln’s second grade classes will be visiting the Silver Beach Carousel, touring historical sites on the bluff, and watching the Memorial Day Parade.  The trip will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the carousel and conclude after the parade at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Students will eat sack lunches at school when we return.  Students may bring a cold lunch or should have filled out a sack lunch form sent home on Tuesday, April 22.  If you have not sent the form back, please send the form back indicating cold lunch from home or school sack lunch ASAP.


**PARENTS ARE WELCOME to attend our field trip.  We ask no siblings to attend the carousel and bluff walk.  This is a special time for our second grade students to learn about our community.  Parents may meet us with siblings at the parade site.  We usually find seating in front of the War Memorials on the bluff side of the street.
