Word Work: This week our class will be learning about adding -ed and -ing endings to words.   Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.  Spelling City is ready for students to access the Unit 22 practice list for the week.  


Halloween Party: Thank you to everyone who donated time, materials, or both to make our Halloween party a wonderful success! The students had a great time


Guest Teacher Next Week: Mrs. Davis who is a close friend and a great sub will be with the students on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. If you have any attendance, transportation, or other daily changes please contact Mrs. Kauffman. If you have any classroom concerns, please email me as I will check my email occasionally through the day. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you!


Scholastic Book Order: The holidays are quickly approaching and books make great gifts for your second grader. Placing a Scholastic Book order is one way to provide easy access to books your child loves to read over and over. I will be sending home flyers soon and am happy to arrange pick up times so books remain a secret. Orders are due Friday, Nov. 22nd.
