Weekly Update

Week of February 10, 2025

 

1  2/10	We don't have a special. Please return the conference form.*
1  2/11	We have art.
2/12	We have a late start.  School starts at 9:25. We have Media Center.    Please send in books.
2/13	We have music.
2/14	We have gym. We have our Valentine's Day Party.

WORD WORK: Our class will have a review week.  We will revisit prior week word lists which includes -le, -able, -ible, -cal, -cle, -ge, -dge, ei, -ch, -tch, -ture, au, and aw.

*CONFERENCE FORM: A note about spring conferences went home on Friday. If you did not receive one you may access it here. Conferences are primary done on a "as needed basis" for students needing additional academic, social, or emotional support. As with the fall, these conferences will be student involved. Please let me know your preference either by email or by returning the note on Monday,

VALENTINE’S DAY PARTY:  It is really hard to believe that our last classroom party is this week!  Our Valentine’s Day party will be held on Friday, February 14th, from 12:45-1:45. 

SARETT FIELD TRIP: Our second graders will be traveling to Sarett Nature Center on March 6th in the morning from 9:45-10:30.  We will be learning about maple sugaring and need to dress for the weather.  Parents are welcome to join us at Sarett but there is an admission fee.  More information will be coming soon.  Please email me if you are planning to attend as there is specific information you need to know.
